Tests have been completed related to safety of new product Avantor Performance Materials Poland S.A., i.e. silica with silver nano particles. The product has been tested from point of view of toxicity and irritation in Zakład Badań Toksykologicznych (Toxicity Tests Institution) in Instytut Przemysłu Organicznego (Organic Industry Institute). The subject of tests was to determine:
oral acute toxicity according to guidelines OECD nr 420,
skin acute toxicity according to guidelines OECD nr 402,
acute irritation of skin according to guideline OECD nr 404,
acute irritation of eye according to guideline OECD nr 405,
Results of tests confirm that silica with silver nano particles does not show toxic properties as well as irritation properties in doses under test (LD50>2000 mg/kg). |
