Nanotechnology
Synonym of modernity as well as changes in the method of functioning and utilization of contemporary science. This is integrated and multi-domain approach to designing, manufacturing, testing and practical utilization of materials and devices, whose structure and functions are controlled at level of single atoms and chemical bounds. This aspect of nanotechnology is included in its name: prefix "nano" denotes magnitude 1x10-9 m, i.e. 0.0000001 cm. Length of a single chemical bound, which is responsible for linking atoms into more compound structures (particles and crystals) is about 0.1 nm. For instance, single particle of water (H2O) has about 0.2 nm of diameter.

Production
Silica production engineering using nano particles of silver is based on sol-gel reaction. Due to this fact, Avantor Performance Materials Poland S.A. products are characterized with high stability and durability. New technological line has been started in Company to manufacture nano materials, such as silica of nano particles of silver, copper, platinum and other metals. Separate segments of manufacture line were manufactured according to an order, based on engineers and process engineers projects of Avantor Performance Materials Poland S.A.. They feature with the highest quality, preserving obligatory safety standards. |
